Pseudo-tty communications manager (QNX Neutrino)
Note:
You must be root or have the right abilities to start this manager.
Syntax:
devc-pty [-C size] [-I size] [-n numptys] [-O size]
[-o opt[,opt...]] [-U uid[:gid] [-v] &
Options:
- -C size
- Specify the size of the canonical buffer in bytes (default 256).
- -I size
- Size of input buffer in bytes (default 256).
- -n numptys
- Create numptys ptys (default 8).
- -O size
- Size of output buffer in bytes (default 3 × 512).
- -o opt[,opt...]
- Additional options, separated by commas.
The options include:
- nodaemon — don't call
procmgr_daemon()
to make the driver run in the background.
Use this option if you need to know when the device terminates.
- priority=prio — set the working priority
of the internal pulse.
- -U uid[:gid]
- (QNX Neutrino 6.6 or later) Set the user ID and group ID to run as.
- -v
- Increase the verbosity.
Description:
The devc-pty manager is a small pseudo-tty manager for
the QNX Neutrino RTOS. It can support up to 256 ptys, using the naming scheme:
- pty[p-zP-T][0-9a-f] for the master device
- tty[p-zP-T][0-9a-f] for the slave device
The master and slave device pair share the same letter and hexadecimal digit.
Examples:
Start devc-pty with 32 ptys:
devc-pty -n 32 &
