In the SDP 7.0 release, QNX Momentics IDE has been redesigned to make it easier to develop, debug, and analyze
the performance of applications.
The major changes are:
- Support for SDP 7.0, including added support for x86-64- and aarch64-based targets
- IDE is built on Eclipse 4.6 (Neon) platform
- New launch toolbar for improved launch workflows
- Improved analysis workflows through new launch configuration settings and QNX Analysis perspective, which includes
Analysis Sessions view
- New wizard for creating QNX projects
- Improved workflows for launching and debugging with shared libraries
- New Device Log view for showing slog2 output from devices
- Improved code coverage report generation
- Support for branch coverage in the Code Coverage tool
- Support for analysis with Valgrind
- Support for visualizing results from unit test frameworks such as GTest, Boost.Test, and Qt Test
- Support for Qt-based projects
- Improved core file debugging workflows that allow you to:
- Double-click a core file to see coreinfo details
- Launch a core debugging session straight from the Target File System Navigator
- View the signal information related to a crash, using the debugger
- Improved handling of serial debugging and serial console
- Support for QNX Software Centre
- Revamped IDE User's guide
- Mudflap is no longer supported
- System Information logging is no longer supported
Note:
This release also includes several fixes for bugs that were present in the IDE 5.0.1 release.
